LIC PRO INGENIERIE ET MAINTENANCE BIOMEDICAL


 

Objectifs

On completion of the course, students should have acquired a knowledge base corresponding to that of their chosen profession.   On the one hand, this consists of acquiring the scientific and technical skills required to:
- understand the use and behaviour of biomedical equipment
- organize the maintenance and monitoring and control of medical equipment
- implement, logistic and safety management measures
and on the other requires the addition of a strong dimension of industrial management appropriate to this sector of activity including, in particular, management of the financial and accounting aspects of contract procedures, the legal framework, communications and investment commercial negotiations.



Métiers visés

HOSPITAL SECTOR

Posts occupied in health-care centres are rated at level II on the hospital public service scale (management technical assistant).  There are also new professions emerging in this sector which may be suitable for staffing by persons holding this degree.

BIOMEDICAL COMPANY SECTOR

Companies specializing in the production, marketing and maintenance of biomedical equipment offer a wider range of employment which can include the technical and/or commercial aspects, or even training.


Admission

Admission by application (request at office), then personal interview.

Initial training
Priority is given to students who already hold the following diplomas:
- DUT, (physical measurements, industrial and maintenance engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.)
- BTS (maintenance, electronics, etc.)
- DEUG - Material sciences, (industrial science and technology)

Continuous training:
Students who do not hold one of the diplomas normally required may be accepted depending on the validation of acquired experience (contact REVA office: 02 97 87 11 30).

This course is aimed, in particular at the following categories:
- hospital maintenance and technical staff,
- nursing staff in particularly high-tech departments (anaesthesia, radiology, etc.),
- personnel from industrial sectors such as electronics, aeronautics,
- personnel undergoing reconversion training as part of the restructuring of the defence sector

Contenu

University classes: 260 hours
Professional training: 350 hours
Training course and project: 14 weeks (for the training course)

Teaching Unit 1: Technical and scientific knowledge applied to biomedical engineering: 130 hours
Teaching Unit 2: Professional tools: 130 hours
Teaching Unit 3: Hospital environment: 50 hours 
Teaching Unit 4: Biomedical technologies: 300 hours
Teaching Unit 5: Tutored project - 150 hours
Teaching Unit 6: Training course: 14 weeks + 1 (work experience)
